857 <br />II REGULAR MEETING MARCH 9TH, 1953 <br />PETITION <br />We believe that South Bend should follow Mishomka's example and adopt an ordinance confining dogs to their <br />owner's property at all times, and not just in the summer months. 'When a dog ruins our lams and shrubs it is <br />trespassing with its owner's permission. A dog that challenges the right of anyone, child or adult, to walk <br />on a public sidewalk is a menace and usually owned by someone completely indifferent to the rights of the <br />neighbors and the general public* <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the City Attorney prepare an ordinance relative to the above petition <br />for the next Council meeting* Councilman Glassheconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />To the Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />We the undersigned, petition your Honorable Boty for a change of zoning of the following described real estate, <br />situated in the City of South Bend, Indiana, and described as follows, to wits <br />A lot or parcel of land forty (40) feet in width, North and <br />South, taken off of and from the entire North side of Lot <br />Number 17.-in the section addition to Pleasant View Subdivision <br />to the City of South Bend, Indiana, be changed from "C " Commercial <br />and "D ",Height and Area District to "A" Residence and "A" Height <br />and Area District. <br />Property located at Southeast corner. of Vassar Ave. and College St. <br />9 (Signed) Alexander Nowacki <br />Regina Nowacki <br />Councilman Korpal made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Plan Commission. Councilman Hahn <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />PETITION <br />TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH-BEND, INDIANAt <br />The undersigned hereby respectfully petition the Common Council to amend and supplment present zoning ordinances <br />by the adoption of an ordinance zoning the following described real estate in the City of South Bend, County <br />of St. Joseph, State of Indiana, as "A" Residential. District and "A"" Height and Area Districtt <br />Beginning on the present city limits at a point 200 ft, south of the <br />center of section 19 T. 37 N. R. 3 East; thence east along the present <br />city limits 200 ft* south of the east and west center line of said section <br />19 a distance of 1320 ft., more or less, to the east line of the North <br />West Quarter of the South East Quarter; thence south 955 ft., more or less, <br />to a point 165 ft north of the south line of the North West Quarter of the <br />South East Quarter; thence west 1320 ft., more or less, to the north and <br />south center line of said section 19; thence north along the north and <br />south center line of said section. 19 a distance of 955 ft., more or less, <br />to the place of beginning; all in the North West Quarter of the South East <br />Quarter section 19 To 37 N.,R. 3 east (otherwise known as Twyckenham Hills* <br />section Ito i a proposed addition to the City of South Bend); excepting <br />therefrom the following described tract of land known as Lot X in Twyckenham <br />Hills section "G" a proposed addition to the City of South Bend, described <br />as followss <br />Beginning at a point on the east line of the North West Quarter of the <br />North East Quarter of section 19 T. 37 North, Range 3 east 200 ft.
