857 <br />II REGULAR MEETING MARCH 9TH, 1953 <br />PETITION <br />We believe that South Bend should follow Mishomka's example and adopt an ordinance confining dogs to their <br />owner's property at all times, and not just in the summer months. 'When a dog ruins our lams and shrubs it is <br />trespassing with its owner's permission. A dog that challenges the right of anyone, child or adult, to walk <br />on a public sidewalk is a menace and usually owned by someone completely indifferent to the rights of the <br />neighbors and the general public* <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the City Attorney prepare an ordinance relative to the above petition <br />for the next Council meeting* Councilman Glassheconded the motion.
