REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 22ND, 1952 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chamber, September 22nd, 1952, at 8:10 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Korpal and Niezgodski. President Erler presided. REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend that the same be approved. Meeting of September 8th, 1952. WALTER C. ERLER, SR. ) Committee Wf Councilman Bestle made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Hahn seconded the motion. Motion carried. COMHUNICA.TION The Common Council Civil,City of South Bend Ste Joseph County September 10, 1952 South Bend, Indiana. Attention: Miss Mayme DuMont, City Clerk Gentlemen: I wish to acknowledge receipt of advice that the governing body of your municipality has taken the necessary action under the Housing and Rent Act of 1947, as amended, to continue Federal rent control after September 30, 1952• We have examined the material submitted and find that the action taken is in accordance with 'the provisions of the Housing and Rent Act of 1947, as amended, and Federal rent control will continue in your community after September 30, 1952• Sincerely yours, (Signed) JAMES McI. Motion carried• PETITION To the Common Council City of South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: We, the undersignec/property owners, petition your honorable body to refuse permission to the Brodbeck Trucking Company for the construction of any building on Indiana Ave. 22 Signatures Councilman Korpal made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Plan Commission. Councilman Muswnski seconded the motion. Motion carried*
