779 DOMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING MARCH 24th, 1952. BE IT REMEMBERED that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana,met in the Comittee'of the Whole meeting in the Council Chamber, Monday, March 24th, 1952 at 8.P.M. with seven (7) members present. ( Councilmen Pint and Bestle being absent). Chairman Hahn presided. ORDINANCE NO. 3861 " An Ordinance providing for the appointment of an Additional Barrett Law Clerk, fixing'the salary thereof and appropriating from the General Fund of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, the sum of $1,800.00 for the payment of said salary and appropriating from the General Fund the sum of $240.00 for certain budgetary items of the 1952 budget of said City and declaring an extraordinary emergency". Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried. Roll Call- 7 Ayes 0 Nays.( Councilmen Pinter and Bestle being absent). ORDIRI MS NO, 3862 - ,r An Ordinance amending section 109 of Ordinance No.3208, as amended,being an amendment to the Municipal Plumbing Code of the City of South Bend, Indiana ". Councilman Glass made a motion that the Ordinance to to the Council as favorable. Councilman Erler seconded the motion. Motion carried. Roll call- 7 Ayes and 0 Nays.( Councilmen Pinter and Bestle being absent) OR. DINANCE' NO...3863 " An Ordinance approving, ratifying and confirming a certain contract and agreement made and entered into by and between the City of South Bend; Indiana, acting by and through its Board of Public Works and Safety, and the Northern Indiana ?transit, Inc., its successors and assigns, which said contract relatest o the rates charged for bus transportation service upon certain streets andhighways in said City ". Councilman Glass made a motion that the Ordinance go to the Council as favorable. Councilman Erler seconded the motion. Motion carried. Roll call vote 6 Ayes and 1 Nay. ( Councilmen Pinter and Bestle being absent). ( Councilman Muszynski voting Nay). There being no further buainess before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Niezgodski made a Motion that the Committee of the Whole adjourn. Oouideilman Erler seconded, the motion. Motion carried. The Committee of the Whole adjourned at 9 :52PIM.
