753 <br />II REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 22ND, 1951 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council, of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council' <br />Chamber, Monday, October 22nd, 1951, at 8:07 P.M., with all members present except Councilmen Korpal and Muszynski. <br />Vice - President Kemper called the meeting to order. <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have <br />inspected the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend <br />that the same be approved. <br />Meeting of October 8th,-1951. <br />ALVIN P. KEMPER ) Committee <br />Councilman Tellson made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Erler seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />PETITION <br />To the Honorable South Bend City Council: <br />We,,the undersigned residents and propeiVowners in the City of South Bend, hereby petition your honorable body <br />that the zoning for the following described real estate be changed from {Class "B" Residential to Class "C" <br />Commercial: <br />Lots K, L, M, N and 0, all in Wenger and Kreighbaum's <br />Vistula Avenue Addition to the City of South Bend, St. <br />Joseph County, Indiana. <br />Respectfully, <br />(9 Signers) <br />Councilman Erler made a motion that the petition be referred to the City Plan Commission. Councilman Bestle <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE REDUCING CERTAIN ITEMS IN THE 1951 SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, MUNICIPAL CIVIL CITY BUDGET AND APPROPRIATING <br />FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF SAID CITY THE SUM OF TWELVE THOUSAND <br />SIX HUNDRED ($12,600.00) DOLLARS, TO CERTAIN OTHER BUDGETARY <br />ITEMS OF THE 1951 BUDGET OF SAID CITY, AND DECLARING AN <br />EXTRAOR13INARY EMERGENCY. <br />The ordinance was given first reading' 'by title and -second reading in full. Councilman Bestle made a motion <br />that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on November 13th, 1951. <br />Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before -.the Council, Councilman Niezgodski made a motion to adjourn, which motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Glass.
