743 II COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING AUGUST 27TH, 1951 Be it remembered that the Common Council, of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole meeting in the Council Chamber, Monday, August 27th, 1951, at 8:09 P.M., with all members present. Chairman Korpal presided. ORDINANCE NO. 3841 (AS AMENDED) "An Ordinance appropriating monies for the purpose of defraying the expenses of all budget- operated departments of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1952, and ending December 31, 1952, including departments, funds and commissions for which money is appropriated, in whole or in part, from funds other than the General Funds of said City, to wit: Street, Traffic and Park 'Department, Firemen's Pension and Policemen's Pension Funds, and the City Plan Commission: providing that such appropriations shall include all outstanding claims and obligations: fixing the salaries of all city officials and employees, repealing all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith: providing a time when the same shall take effect ". The ordinance was read item by item and an amendment was made in the budget of the Board of Health, Item 215, Transportation Allowance for Dr. Carter in the amount of $600.00 to read as "Secretary of Board" in the amount of $600.00, and that so amended the ordinance be reported to the Council as favorable. ORDINANCE NO. 3842 (AS AMENDED) "An Ordinance fixing the Tax Levy for the year 1952 for the Municipal Civil City of South Bend, Indiana". Councilman Tellson made a motion that the proposed amendments relative to tax levy be accepted. Councilman Kemper' seconded the motion. Motion carried. I There being no further business before the Committee of the Whole, Councilman Kemper made a motion to adjourn, which motion was seconded by Councilman Erler. Motion carried, and the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourned at 11:15 P.M. ATTEST: CLERK
