<br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the
<br />Council Chamber, Monday, July 23rd, 1951, at, 8:30 P.M., with all members present. President Niezgodski presided.
<br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES
<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend:
<br />Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have
<br />inspected the minutes, would respectfully report that they have inspected the minutes of the previous meeting
<br />of the Council and found them correct. They therefore recommend that the same be approved.

<br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion
<br />carried.

<br />Gentlemen;
<br />The Holy Name Society of Holy Cross Parish lends its whole...hearted support to The Catholic War Veterans of
<br />South Bend in asking civic support for protests against objectionable motion pi-etures and literature.
<br />For the welfare of our community, we feel The City Council should give this matter serious consideration and
<br />if it be deemed advisable, an ordinance be passed to cover the situation, so that proper enforcement can be
<br />insisted upon.

<br />TO: THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
<br />Petitioners, MORB4S Be HOFFMAN and REUBEN HOFFMAN, by their attorneys, Voor, Jackson, Grant & McMichael,
<br />respectfully petition that Ordinance No. 3702, adopted by the Common Council on the 13th day of June, 1949, and
<br />commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, be amended as follows, to -wit:
<br />That the property situate in the City of South Bend, Indiana, and described as follows, to wit:
<br />Lot Numbered 20 as shown on the recorded Plat of Sommers Addition
<br />to the City of South Bend,
<br />be changed from B Residence and A Height and Area District to C Commercial and E Height and Area District.
<br />Petitioners further state that they are the owners of all of the above - described property.
<br />Petitioners further state that they have attached hereto a form of ordinance for the convenience, use and
<br />approval of the Common Council of the City of South Bend.
<br />WHEREFORE, petitioners respectfully request that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, accept
<br />and act favorably upon their said petition and that the property herein described be, by proper ordinance, duly
<br />passed and legally published, changed from B Residence and A Height and Area District to C Commercial and E
<br />Height and Area District.

<br />Gentlemen:
<br />July 23, 1951
<br />The City Plan Commission has considered the petition of the First Bank and Trust Company for annexation of a
<br />tract of land 192 acres in area which is East of Miami Street and North of Ireland Road.
<br />The City Plan Commission approves and recommends the annexation as petitioned for.
