726 <br />REGULAR MEETING JUNE 11TH, 1951 <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: June llth, 1951 <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An Ordinance appropriating from the General Fund of the Civil <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, the sum of Nine Hundred ($'900.00) Dollars, to the Engineering Department, and <br />declaring an extraordinary emergeney't. <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance go to the Council <br />as favorable. <br />STANLEY C. KORPAL, Chairman <br />Councilman Kemper made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3824 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE <br />CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, THE SUM OF NINE HUNDRED <br />($900.00) DOLLARS, TO THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, AND DECLARING <br />AT EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY. <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays - 1 absent (Eyler). <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE ANNUAL SALARY OF THE SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, CITY COURT PROBATION OFFICER; AND APPROPRIATING <br />FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF SAID CITY THE SUM OF NINE HUNDRED <br />TVIENTY -THREE DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS ($923.50) OF THE 1951 <br />BUDGETARY ITEM, SERVICES PERSONAL, IN THE OFFICE OF CITY <br />JUDGE; REPEALING ANY AND ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES, AND <br />DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Korpal made a motion that <br />the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on June 25th. Councilman bestle <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE REDUCING CERTAIN ITEMS IN THE 1951 MUNICIPAL <br />CIVIL CITY BUDGET OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA; AND <br />APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF SAID CITY THE SUM <br />OF ONE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED ($1,600.00) DOLLARS, TO CERTAIN <br />_. OTHER BUDGETARY ITEMS OF THE 1951 BUDGET OF SAID CITY, AND <br />DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Bestle made a motion <br />that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on June 25th. Councilman <br />Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business, Councilman Glass made a motion to adjourn, which motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Korpal.
