COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING <br />APRIL 9TH, 1951 <br />708 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole <br />meeting in the Council Chamber, Monday, April 9th, 1951, at 8:10 P.M., with all members present. Chairman Korpal <br />presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />"An Ordinance reducing certain items in the 1951 South Bend, Indiana, Civil City Budget; and appropriating from <br />the General Street and Traffic Fund of said City the sum of One Thousand Four Hundred ($1,400.00) Dollars, to <br />certain other budgetary item of the 1951 budget of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, and declaring an <br />extraordinary emergency ". <br />Councilman Kemper made a motion that the ordinance be held up for further information. Councilman Bestle seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />"An Ordinance regulating the installation, utilization and maintenance of outside antenna for television receiving <br />apparatus or equipment, requiring permits and certificates of approval and providing for the manner and fees for <br />obtaining same; and providing penalties for violation of this ordinancest <br />ALSO <br />"An Ordinance, regulating the use of equipment, appliances, devices or apparatus which interfere with the <br />transmission, reception or communication by radio or television, and providing a penalty for the violation of the <br />same"* <br />Councilman Tellson made a motion that the ordinances be referred to a special committee appointed by the President <br />to meet with the City Attorney and City Engineer. <br />There being no 'further business, Councilman Niezgodski made a motion to adjourn, which motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Glass. Motion carried, and the Committee of the Whole adjourned at 8 :30 P.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />.......... ................ <br />
