COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING APRIL 9TH, 1951 708 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole meeting in the Council Chamber, Monday, April 9th, 1951, at 8:10 P.M., with all members present. Chairman Korpal presided. ORDINANCE "An Ordinance reducing certain items in the 1951 South Bend, Indiana, Civil City Budget; and appropriating from the General Street and Traffic Fund of said City the sum of One Thousand Four Hundred ($1,400.00) Dollars, to certain other budgetary item of the 1951 budget of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, and declaring an extraordinary emergency ". Councilman Kemper made a motion that the ordinance be held up for further information. Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE "An Ordinance regulating the installation, utilization and maintenance of outside antenna for television receiving apparatus or equipment, requiring permits and certificates of approval and providing for the manner and fees for obtaining same; and providing penalties for violation of this ordinancest ALSO "An Ordinance, regulating the use of equipment, appliances, devices or apparatus which interfere with the transmission, reception or communication by radio or television, and providing a penalty for the violation of the same"* Councilman Tellson made a motion that the ordinances be referred to a special committee appointed by the President to meet with the City Attorney and City Engineer. There being no 'further business, Councilman Niezgodski made a motion to adjourn, which motion was seconded by Councilman Glass. Motion carried, and the Committee of the Whole adjourned at 8 :30 P.M.
