REGULAR MEETING <br />REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br />To the Common Council <br />City of South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />MARCH 12TH, 1951 <br />Petition of 0. J. and Mabel F. Hine for change of zoning of Lots No. 4, 5, and 6 in J. E. Walz Revised Addition <br />from B residence and A height and area districts to C commercial district was given public hearing before the <br />City Plan Commission March 1, 1951. <br />The City Plan Commission recommends that this change be made to C commercial and E height and area districts. <br />The petition omitted the height and area district appropriate for the C commercial classification and the City <br />Plan Commission recommends the E height and area district to agree with that of nearby commercial territory. <br />CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br />These lots are on the west side of Michigan Street next south D. Moomaw, Secretary <br />of Sherwood Street. <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 OF THE ORDINANCES <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />(Lots No. 4, 5 & 6 in J. E. Walz Revised Addition) <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Erler made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Erler withdrew his motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Tellson withdrew his second. <br />Councilman JErler made a motion that this ordinance be held in Council until next meeting on March 26th. <br />Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />President Niezgodski appointed Councilmen Kemper and Korpal to investigate the above petition for rezoning and <br />report back on their findings to the Council on March 26th. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS <br />AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, EFFECTIVE <br />JANUARY 1, 19529 AND REPEALING`ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF <br />ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Korpal made a motion <br />that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on March 26th. Councilman <br />Bestle seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORD DAANC E . ''" <br />AN ORDINANCE ORDERING AND PROVIDING FOR THE SALE OF THE FOLLOWING <br />DESCRIBED REAL ESTATE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, <br />INDIANA, TO -WIT. <br />Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot Numbered G2 in <br />Wenger and Krieghbaums Vistula Avenue Addition to the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana, thence Northerly parallel <br />wit# the East line of Lincoln Way East 136.7 feet; thence <br />East 30 feet; thence North 50 feet; thence East to the St. <br />Joseph River; thence Southwesterly to a point directly <br />East of the place'of beginning; thence West to the place <br />of beginning, subject to the right of the City of South <br />Bend to construct an interceptor sewer across said land <br />at the approximate location and depth as shown on the <br />plans for the interceptor sewer in the Engineer's Office <br />of said City. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Erler made a motion <br />that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3801 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE <br />CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, THE SUM OF SIX HUNDRED <br />($600.00) DOLLARS, TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH CLINIC, DEPARTMENT <br />OF HEALTH, AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY. <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays - 1 absent (Glass). <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3802 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE <br />CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, THE SUM OF FOUR THOUSAND <br />FIVE HUNDRED ($4,500.00) DOLLARS, TO THE OFFICE OF THE BOARD, <br />AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY. <br />The ordinance.was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays - 1 absent (Glass). <br />
