REGULAR MEETING MARCH 12TH, 1951 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chamber, Monday, March 12th, 1951, at 8::12 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Glass. President Niezgodski presided. REPORT OF COMMITTEE ON MINUTES To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee on the inspection and supervision of the minutes, would respectfully report that they have inspecte the minutes of the previous meeting of the Council and found them correct. COMMUNICATION Common Council City of South Bend South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: jCommittee Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion March 12, 1951 Your memorandum to the Board of Public Works and Safety relative to the complaint received by you from Mr. Charles Anderson on bus service on the Corby Street bus line, please be advised that we informed the Northern Indiana Transit, Incorporated, of said complaint. A letter addressed to the Board of Public Works and Safety was presented to the Board at their regular meeting on this date in which Northern Indiana Transit, Inc., indicated that the same drivers have operated the Corby Street bus line for a considerable length of time and the only time they are late is when some condition beyond their control affects the operation. Relative to Mr. Anderson's complaint that proper signs were not placed on the busses, the bus company further indicated that they necessarily place a cardboard sign in the lower right- hand windshi*ld due to the rotation of busses caused by mechanical breakdowns and /or servicing. It would not be r feasible to add "Corb.y" t o all of their destination sign curtains. However, Northern Indiana Transit, Inc., will see that these cardboard signs are properly placed and maintained.
