655 <br />,J— REGULAR MEETING _ AIIGIIST 14TH,_1950 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3771 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS <br />THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />(Lots on East side of William St. south of Calvert St.) <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Niezgodski. made a motion <br />for suspension of rules. Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 6 ayes - <br />2 absent (Tellson & Glass). <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 6 ayes - 2 absent (Tellson & Glass). <br />REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMISSION <br />To the Common Council <br />City of South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen:: <br />Petition of the Crown Development Company for zoning Miami Hills Addition as annexed to the City by Ordinance <br />3760 has had public hearing on August 3, 1950. <br />The City Plan Commission recommends that this area which consists of Lots Numbered 1 to 251 inclusive in Miami <br />Hills ,Addition be zoned A residence district and A height and area districts. <br />Thif/property is on the west side of Miami Street and North of Erskine Park. <br />Yours truly, <br />D. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NQ. 3772 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3702. <br />(Property on the west side of Miami Street <br />& North of Erskine Park) <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Niezgodski made a motion <br />for suspension of rules. Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 6 ayes - <br />2 absent (Tellson and Glass). <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by A roll call vote of 6 ayes - 2 absent (Tellson & Glass). <br />ORDINANCE N09 3773 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING CONTRAC%S MADE AND ENTERED INTO <br />ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, BY AND <br />THROUGH THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY,,,AND SCHERMAN- <br />SCHAUS- FREEMAN, $2,035.12; AND L. 0. GATES 'CHEVROLET <br />CORPORATION, INC., $4,134.95; AND REED CONSTRUCTION <br />COMPANY, $17,369.00; AND RIETH -RILEY CONTRACTORS, <br />411,528.5Q AND $210239.95. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Muszynski made a motion <br />for suspension of rules. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of <br />6 ayes - 2 absent (Tellson & Glass). <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 6 ayes - 2 absent (Tellson & Glass). <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Samuel Shapiro, 2325 So. Michigan Street, appeared before the Council with reference to rats in Bowman Creek. <br />`Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that Mr. Shapiro's complaint be referred to the Board of Public Works & <br />Safetys and - •the "Bonk t&'repirt`to ihe- O®undiV gui lit;h• Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Niezgodski made a motion to adjourn, which motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Bestle.
