X357 REGULAR MEETING NOVEMBER 8,2004 TABLE ENCROACHMENT-INSTALLATION OF AWNING-2810 MISHAWAKA AVENUE- PAMPERED PAWS Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Encroachment for the installation of an awning at Pampered Paws, 2810 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, was tabled pending further information. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION-TO CONDUCT WINTER WALK-ST.MARGARET'S HOUSE Mr.Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Kathryn Schneider, St.Margaret's House, 117 North Lafayette, South Bend,Indiana,to conduct the above referred to walk on February 13, 2005, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the designated route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved. APPROVE TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried,the following traffic control devices were approved/tabled: Relocate - Handicapped Accessible 109 South Lake Move signs from 129 South Parking Space Signs Illinois to current address. New Installation - Handicapped 814 East LaSalle Resident says school has no Accessible Parking Space Signs parking lot. Criteria has been met. New Installation - Handicapped 212 East Calvert Tabled. Accessible Parking Space Signs APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE WATER ONLY Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to Remonstrate as submitted by Ms.Jackie A.Wilson,52872 Francis Street,South Bend,Indiana. The Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public water system of the City, to provide water service to 22105 Brick Road, South Bend,Indiana, South Bend,Indiana,(Key 9 04- 1025-0446). Ms. Wilson waives and releases any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future annexation of the property by the City of South Bend. Therefore,Mr. Gilot made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried. APPROVE CONSENT TO ANNEXATION AND WAIVER OF RIGHTS TO REMONSTRATE WATER AND SEWER Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of a Consent to Annexation and Waiver of Right to Remonstrate as submitted by Fairway LLC,Andrew Place, 1620 North Ironwood Drive,South Bend, Indiana. The Consent indicates that in consideration for permission to tap into the public water and sewer system of the City, to provide water and sewer service to Inverness Woods Subdivision. Fairway LLC waives and releases any and all right to remonstrate against or oppose any pending or future annexation of the property by the City of South Bend, Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the Consent be approved. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried. FILING OF SAFETY REPORTS - DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS The Division of Environmental Services,Street Department,Division of Engineering,Water Works and Equipment Services submitted Safety Reports for October 2004. These reports will reflect injuries/accidents for each month and provide for a comparison. There being no further discussion, upon a motion made by Mr.Littrell,seconded by Mr.Inks and carried,the reports were accepted and filed.
