Lincolnway West Greater New Vision Baptist Church <br /> Installation of Awning 101 North Michigan JDM Communications <br /> Installation of Awning 1 110 South Main Street Teachers Credit Union <br /> NOTE: The Board authorized Mr. Inks <br /> to review and approve this request. <br /> Further information from the plans is <br /> required. <br /> Installation of Awning 1122 West Western Higher Level Beauty Salon <br /> FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE AN ALLEY - EAST/WEST <br /> ALLEY NORTH OF PRAIRIE <br /> Mr. Gilot indicated that Mr. Eliodoro Montainez, 1603 Fassnacht, South Bend, Indiana, has <br /> submitted a request to vacate the above referred to alley. Mr. Gilot advised that the Board is in <br /> receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Area Plan <br /> Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, Department of Economic <br /> Development and the Department of Public Works. Engineering stated that the petitioner should <br /> be advised that parking lot development must be done in accordance with the South Bend Zoning <br /> Ordinance and drive approaches and drainage shall meet current "Design and Construction <br /> Standards". In addition,if this alley is vacated, it be done so subject to any utility easements that are <br /> necessary. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the Clerk send a letter to the petitioner <br /> addressing these concerns. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried. <br /> DENIAL OF PETITION TO ESTABLISH RESIDENTIAL PARKING ZONE- 1000 SOUTH 21 ST <br /> STREET <br /> Mr. Gilot stated a Petition to Establish a Residential Parking Zone in the 1000 block of South 21 ` <br /> Street was submitted to the Board for approval. A survey was conducted on September 29, 2004, <br /> from 6:00 a.m.to 6:00 p.m. Results of the survey indicated curb space was occupied 32%, and curb <br /> space was occupied 20% by non-residents. The South Bend Municipal Code indicates that curb <br /> space must be occupied seventy-five percent(75%)of the time and the curb space must be occupied <br /> by non-residents at least twenty-five (25%) of the time. Therefore,the requirements were not met. <br />
