s'6 417 <br /> REGULAR MEETING JULY 26, 2004 <br /> seconded by Mr.Littrell and carried,the recommendation was approved subject to the arrangement <br /> of appropriate detours. <br /> APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET- CAMPEAU FROM ARTHUR <br /> TO JACOB - EAST SIDE REUNION <br /> Mr.Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Engineering, <br /> Police Department and the City Attorney's office,in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. John <br /> Williams, 25125 Pin Oak Drive, South Bend,Indiana,to conduct the above referred to block party <br /> on August 14, 2004,from 9:00 a.m.to 7:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by <br /> Mr. Gilot and carried,the recommendation was approved. <br /> FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE AN ALLEY- ALLEY <br /> BETWEEN 36TH STREET AND LOGAN <br /> Mr. Gilot indicated that the Common Council has submitted to the Board a Vacation Petition as <br /> completed by to vacate the above referred to alley. Mr. Gilot advised that the Board is in receipt of <br /> favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, <br /> Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, Department of Economic Development and the <br /> Department of Public Works, The Fire Department stated that the residents at 326 36' Street will <br /> not be able to get into their garage; however, if the residents at that address have no objections, <br /> approval is recommended. Mr. Littrell stated that the Petitioner owns the residence at that address <br /> as well and is aware of the problem. Therefore,Mr. Gilot made a motion that this alley vacation be <br /> referred to the Common Council. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion which carried. <br /> APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - COOUILLARD FROM <br /> ROCKNE TO CHERRY TREE LANE - BLOCK PARTY <br /> Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by the Division of Traffic and <br /> Lighting, Police Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted <br /> by Ms. Greta Roemer Lewis, 633 North Coquillard, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above <br /> referred to block party on July 31, 2004, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by , <br /> seconded by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell the recommendation was approved. <br /> APPROVE AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTOR AND EXCAVATION BONDS <br /> Mr. Anthony Molnar, Engineer, Division of Engineering, recommended that the following <br /> Contractors and Excavation Bonds be approved and/or released as follows: <br /> BOND OF CONTRACTOR <br /> David A. Ratkay Approved Effective July 7, 2004, <br /> Pursuant to Resolution No. 100-2000 <br /> Fresh Trax, LLC Approved Effective July 16, 2004 <br /> Pursuant to Resolution No. 100-2000 <br /> Langfeldt Excavating Released Effective August 8, 2004 <br /> Indiana& Michigan Concrete Co. Released Effective July 26, 2004 <br /> Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and that the Bonds be approved <br /> and/or released as outlined above.
