TABLE BID AWARD - ST. JOSEPH AND JEFFERSON STREET PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS - PROJECT NO. 104-042 Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried,the bid award for the above referred to project was tabled. APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS/TITLE SHEET - IRONWOOD/JEFFERSON BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENTS-PROJECT NO. 104-032 LRSA In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, requested permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. In addition, the Title Sheet for this project was presented for approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the request to advertise and the Title Sheet were approved. APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION FOR BID AWARD - FURNITURE/FIXTURES/INSTALLATION - SOUTH BEND FIRE AND POLICE HEADQUARTERS Mr. Jason Vetne,DLZ,2211 East Jefferson, South Bend,Indiana,submitted a recommendation that the Board of Public Works proceed with the Award of Contract to Business Furnishings. Experience and work were reviewed to ensure that the specified awarded systems are installed to a level expected. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the recommendation was approved. FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE A STREET - HIGH COURT EAST OF HIGH STREET Mr. Littrell indicated that Mr. Phil St. Clair, South Bend Parks and Recreation, South Bend,Indiana, has submitted a request to vacate the above referred to street. Mr. Gilot advised that the Board is in receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Area Plan Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, Department of Economic Development and the Department of Public Works. Engineering stated that if this street is vacated, it be done so subject to any utility easements that are necessary. Therefore, Mr. Littrell made a motion that the Clerk send a letter to the petitioner addressing these concerns. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the meeting adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
