JOSEPH AND JEFFERSON STREET PARKING LOT <br /> IMPROVEMENTS - PROJECT NO. 104-042 <br /> Upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried,the bid award for the above <br /> referred to project was tabled. <br /> APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF BIDS/TITLE SHEET - <br /> IRONWOOD/JEFFERSON BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENTS-PROJECT NO. 104-032 LRSA <br /> In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, requested permission to advertise <br /> for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. In addition, the Title Sheet for this project <br /> was presented for approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks <br /> and carried, the request to advertise and the Title Sheet were approved. <br /> APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION FOR BID AWARD - <br /> FURNITURE/FIXTURES/INSTALLATION - SOUTH BEND FIRE AND POLICE <br /> HEADQUARTERS <br /> Mr. Jason Vetne,DLZ,2211 East Jefferson, South Bend,Indiana,submitted a recommendation that <br /> the Board of Public Works proceed with the Award of Contract to Business Furnishings. Experience <br /> and work were reviewed to ensure that the specified awarded systems are installed to a level <br /> expected. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the <br /> recommendation was approved. <br /> FAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE A STREET - HIGH COURT <br /> EAST OF HIGH STREET <br /> Mr. Littrell indicated that Mr. Phil St. Clair, South Bend Parks and Recreation, South Bend,Indiana, <br /> has submitted a request to vacate the above referred to street. Mr. Gilot advised that the Board is in <br /> receipt of favorable recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from the Area Plan <br /> Commission, Police Department, Fire Department, Sanitation, Department of Economic <br /> Development and the Department of Public Works. Engineering stated that if this street is vacated, <br /> it be done so subject to any utility easements that are necessary. Therefore, Mr. Littrell made a <br /> motion that the Clerk send a letter to the petitioner addressing these concerns. Mr. Inks seconded <br /> the motion which carried. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, <br /> seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the meeting adjourned at 2:00 p.m. <br />
