<br /> Mr. Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting,Police
<br /> Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Eliud
<br /> Villanueva,LULAC Council 5001,Inc.,622 Wilson Boulevard,Mishawaka,Indiana,to conduct the
<br /> above referred to march and rally on May 5, 2004, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., on the designated
<br /> route as submitted. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the
<br /> request was acknowledged.
<br /> APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - KENMORE FROM
<br /> JEFFERSON TO WESTERN - GRADUATION PARTY
<br /> Mr.Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting,Police
<br /> Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Willie
<br /> Jackson, 323 South Kenmore, South Bend,Indiana,to conduct the above referred to block party on
<br /> May 8, 2004, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 pan. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr..
<br /> Littrell and carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br /> ACKNOWLEDGE REQUEST - TO CONDUCT INFORMATION PICKET
<br /> Mr.Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting,Police
<br /> Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Mr. Joseph
<br /> Szczerbowski, United Steel Workers of America, 2515 Portage Mall, Portage, Indiana, to conduct
<br /> a peaceful demonstration on May 11, 2004, from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m, at 307 N. Michigan, South
<br /> Bend,Indiana. Upon a emotion made by Mr. Gilot,seconded by Mr.Inks and carried,the request was
<br /> acknowledged.
<br /> APPROVAL OF RECOMMENDATION - TO CLOSE STREET - HUEY FROM BULLA TO
<br /> KELLER - BIRTHDAY PARTY
<br /> Mr.Gilot stated that favorable recommendations have been received by Traffic and Lighting,Police
<br /> Department and the City Attorney's office, in reference to a request as submitted by Ms. Dorothy
<br /> Faubian, 1654 Huey, South Bend, Indiana, to conduct the above referred to block party on May 8,
<br /> 2004, from 9:00 a.m.to 11:00 p.m. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and
<br /> carried, the recommendation was approved.
<br /> The Clerk was instructed to post the agenda and notify the media and other persons who have
<br /> requested notice of the meeting agenda. No other business came before the Board. The meeting
<br /> adj ourned at 9:3 3 a.m.
