<br /> Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above referred to
<br /> Contracts/Agreements/Addenda were approved and executed.

<br /> Mr. Gilot advised that in accordance with the bid awarded on April 26, 2004, to Rieth Riley
<br /> Construction, 25200 State Road 23, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of$2,020,064.71 for the
<br /> above referred to project, a Contract in said amount was being submitted for Board approval. Upon
<br /> a motion made by Mr.Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried,the Contract was approved and the
<br /> appropriate Certificate of Insurance,Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond as
<br /> submitted were filed.
<br /> APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL - ENGINEERING SERVICES - DESIGN AND BID
<br /> DOCUMENTATION FOR FILLING SIDEWALK VAULTS UNDER THE HOTEL LASALLE -
<br /> PAUL FUJAWA ENGINEERS INC. DOWNTOWN TIF
<br /> Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of a Proposal between the City of South Bend and Paul
<br /> Fujawa Engineers, 922 East Wayne, South Bend, Indiana, for the above referred to project. Mr.
<br /> Gilot noted that the Proposal is in the amount of$5,000.00. Therefore,upon a motion made by Mr.
<br /> Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the Proposal was approved and executed.
<br /> APPROVAL OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING-MUNICIPAL SEPARATE STORM
<br /> SEWER SYSTEM (MS4) DUCATION - ST JOSEPH COUNTY SOIL AND WATER
<br /> CONSERVATION DISTRICT (SEWAGE WORKS)
<br /> Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of a Memorandum of Understanding between the City
<br /> of South Bend and the St. Joseph County Soil and Water Conservation District. The County,
<br /> District and City have agreed to work together to meet the goals and requirements of Rule 13. Mr.
<br /> Gilot noted that the Memorandum of Understanding is in the amount of $10,000.00 per year.
<br /> Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Gilot and carried, the Memorandum
<br /> of Understanding was approved and executed.
<br /> APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL-TRAINING PROGRAM FOR DEPARTMENT HEADS BUREAU
<br /> MANAGERS AND FRONT-LINE SUPERVISORS - IVY TECH STATE COLLEGE
<br /> Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of a Proposal between the City of South Bend and Ivy
<br /> Tech State College, 220 Dean Johnson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, for the above referred to
<br /> training. Mr. Gilot noted that the Proposal is in the amount of$15,000.00. Therefore,upon a motion
<br /> made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Proposal was approved and executed.
<br /> APPROVAL OF PROPOSAL - DIVERSITY TRAINING PROGRAM FOR DEPARTMENT
<br /> HEADS BUREAU MANAGERS AND FRONT-LINE SUPERVISORS - KAUFMAN
<br /> VONSTUBEN AND ASSOCIATES
<br /> Mr. Gilot stated that the Board is in receipt of a Proposal between the City of South Bend and
<br /> Kaufman, VonStuben and Associates, 370 Haydn Court, Wheaton, Illinois, for the above referred
<br /> to training. Mr. Gilot noted that the Proposal is in the amount of$23,500.00. Therefore, upon a
<br /> motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the Proposal was approved and
<br /> executed.
