<br /> It was noted that Wise International Trucks,4849 Western,South Bend,Indiana,declined to bid,due
<br /> to the fact that the specifications were written on LaBrie packer specifications which would have
<br /> resulted in them taking a large number of exceptions.
<br /> Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above bid was referred
<br /> to Central Services for review and recommendation.
<br /> AWARD BID - ONE (1) PULL BEHIND SWEEPER VACUUM - PARK DEPARTMENT
<br /> VEHICLE CAPITAL BUDGET)
<br /> Mr.Matthew Chlebowski,Director,Central Services,advised the Board that on April 12,2004,bids
<br /> were received and opened for the above referred to equipment. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br /> Chlebowski recommends that the Board award the contract to Burris Equipment, 2216 North
<br /> Greenbay Road, Waukegan, Illinois, in the amount of$14,761.00. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a
<br /> motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell
<br /> seconded the motion which carried.
<br /> AWARD BID - THREE (3) PULL BEHIND LEAF BLOWERS - PARK DEPARTMENT (PARK
<br /> FUND)
<br /> Mr.Matthew Chlebowski,Director,Central Services,advised the Board that on April 12,2004,bids
<br /> were received and opened for the above referred to equipment. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br /> Chlebowski recommends that the Board award the contract to Burris Equipment, 2216 North
<br /> Greenbay Road,Waukegan,Illinois,in the amount of$16,785.00. Kenney Machinery Company bid
<br /> on a model which was not requested in our specifications. We specified a trailer mounted pull
<br /> behind unit; the unit bid is not trailer mounted and must be installed into the bed of another unit to
<br /> be operated.Therefore,Mr.Littrell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid
<br /> be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried.
<br /> AWARD BID - ONE 1 FOUR WHEEL DRIVE TURF TRACTOR/LOADER - PARK
<br /> DEPARTMENT (PARK FUND)

<br /> were received and opened for the above referred to equipment. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br /> Chlebowski recommends that the Board award the contract to J.W. Turf,Inc., 14N937 Highway 20,
<br /> Hampshire, Illinois, in the amount of$21,703.00. Wyatt Farm bid on a model that did not have the
<br /> hydraulically operated quick attach loader as specified. To remove or install the front bucket, the
<br /> operator must exit the machine and manually remove the bucket pins with a hammer and punch. The
<br /> specified quick disconnect allows the operator to stay in the cab, push the release button and pull
<br /> away from the bucket. We specified this type of system to increase the versatility and productivity
<br /> of this unit. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid
<br /> be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell seconded the motion which carried.

<br /> Mr.Matthew Chlebowski,Director,Central Sendees,advised the Board that on April 12,2004,bids
<br /> were received and opened for the above referred to equipment. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br /> Chlebowski recommends that the Board award the contract to Wise International, 4849 Western
<br /> Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, in the amount of$136,014.58. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motioi7
<br /> that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Littrell
<br /> seconded the motion which carried.
