<br /> January 26, 2004 for the above referred to project. After reviewing those bids, Mr. Dillon
<br /> recommends that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder,
<br /> Thieneman Construction, Inc., 756 Madison Street, Crown Point, Indiana, in the amount of
<br /> $1,924,200.00. Therefore, Mr. Gilot made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the
<br /> bid be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried.
<br /> AWARD APPRAISAL PROPOSAL - REAL ESTATE PROPOSAL FOR FORMER OLIVER
<br /> SCHOOL SITE
<br /> Ms. Tanya Zozulya, Community and Economic Development, advised the Board that five (5)
<br /> Proposals were received by the Division of Community Development to perform a j oint real estate
<br /> appraisal on the former Oliver School site at 924 West Indiana Avenue, South Bend,Indiana. After
<br /> reviewing those proposals, Ms. Zozulya recommends that the Board award the proposal to R.E.
<br /> McCloskey & Associates, Inc., 52872 Farmington Drive, Granger, Indiana, in the amount of
<br /> $2,500.00. Therefore, Mr. Littrell made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the
<br /> proposal be awarded as outlined above. Mr. Inks seconded the motion which carried.

<br /> In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Matthew Chlebowski, Director, Central Services, requested
<br /> permission to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to vehicles. Therefore, upon
<br /> a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the request to advertise for the
<br /> receipt of bids was approved.

<br /> In a memorandum to the Board,Mr. Toy Villa,Public Construction Manager, requested permission
<br /> to advertise for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. It was noted this project is a unit.
<br /> price bid. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Inks, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the
<br /> request to advertise for the receipt of bids was approved.

<br /> In a memorandum to the Board, Mr. Carl Littrell, City Engineer, requested permission to advertise
<br /> for the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. In addition, the Title Sheet for this project
<br /> was presented for approval. Therefore,upon a motion made by Mr. Inks,seconded by Mr. Gilot and
<br /> carried, the request to advertise for the receipt of bids and the Title Sheet were approved.

<br /> In a memorandum to the Board,Mr. Jason Durr,Engineering,requested permission to advertise for
<br /> the receipt of bids for the above referred to project. In addition,the Title Sheet for this project was
<br /> submitted for approval. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks, the
<br /> request to advertise for the receipt of bids and the Title Sheet were approved..

<br /> Mr. Gilot advised that the Title Sheet for the above referred to project was being presented at this
<br /> time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Littrell, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the
<br /> above referred to Title Sheet was approved and signed.

<br /> Mr. Gilot advised that Mr. Toy Villa, Public Construction Manager, has submitted the Project
<br /> Completion Affidavit on behalf of Niezgodski Plumbing, Inc., 232 Mayflower Road, South Bend,
<br /> Indiana,for the above referred to project,indicating a final cost of$13,300.00. Upon a motion made
