630 <br />11 REGULAR MEETING APRIL 24TH, 1950 <br />ORDINANCE N0. 3744 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING CONTRACTS 11ADE AND ENTERED INTO ON BEHALF <br />F <br />OF THE NEATER -WORKS UTILITY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, BY <br />ITS BOARD OF WATER WONKS COMMISSIONERS, FOR THE FOLLOWING: CONTRACT <br />DESCRIBED AS CONTRACT "NO. 1 -Bo WITH CAI, J. REINKE & SONS, OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE Ct1TSTRUCTION OF ONE (1) WELL HOUSE, INCLUDING <br />ALL APPURTENANCES, FOR THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED FIFTY <br />($5,850.00) DOLLARS; AND�CONTRACTS DESCRIBED AS CONTPACTS "N0. 1 -A" <br />AND "NO. 1 -C ", WITH LAYNE- NORTHERN COMPANY, INC., OF MISHAWAKA, IND., <br />FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ONE (1) GRAVEL WALL TYPE WELL, INCLUDING ALL <br />APPURTENANCES, FOR THE SUM OF TWELVE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED TEN <br />(12,610.00) DOLLARS; AND FOR INSTALLING ONE (1) DEEP WELL TURBINE <br />PUMP, INCLUDING ALL ACCESSORIES AND APPURTENANCES, FOR THE SUM OF <br />THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED NINETY ($3,990.00) DOLLARS. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second-reading in full. Councilman Muszynski made a motion <br />for suspension of rules. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of <br />8 ayes - 0 nays. <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SALE, LENDING, GIVING AWAY, OR POSSESSION <br />OF OBSCENE, LEWD, INDECENT OR LASCIVIOUS PHONOGW. H RECORDS, SOUND <br />TRANSCRIPTIONS, WIRE RECORDINGS OR SIMILAR DEVICE OR ARTICLES, AND <br />PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Niezgodski made a <br />motion that the ordinance -be referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing on May 8th, 1950. <br />Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business, Councilman Niezgodski made a motion to adjourn, which motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Tellson.
