616 <br />COMMITTEE_OP�TAE WHOLE MEETING MARCH 27TH, 1950 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the Committee of the Whole <br />meeting in the Council Chamber, Monday, March 27th, 1950, at 8 -:08 P.M. with all members present. Chairman <br />Korpal presided. <br />ORDINANCE <br />"An Ordinance for safeguarding persons and property and promoting the welfare of the public; creating the office <br />of Electrical Inspector and prescribing his duties; establishing standards for electrical equipment and for its <br />installation and requiring conformity therewith; making it unlawful to undertake the installation of electrical <br />equipment without a permit therefore, and creating an electrical examining board and a board of review and <br />prescribing their duties; providing for the licensing by the electrical examing board of persons, fi rms and <br />corporations undertaking the installation of electrical equipment, and operators of moving picture projectors, <br />and electrical contracts and dealers in electrical equipment, and making it unlawful to undertake the <br />installation of electrical equipment or ope ration of moving picture projectors without a license except as <br />otherwise provided; providing penalties for the violation of this ordinance, end repealing all ordinances <br />and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith". <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the ordinance, together with the amendments, be referred to the Code <br />Committee of the City Plan Commission for further study and report. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Erler made a motion to adjourn, which motion <br />was seconded•by Councilman Muszynski.
