553 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 25TH. 1949 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the <br />Council Chamber, April 25th, 19490 at 8:15 P.M. with all members present. President Erler presided at the <br />meeting. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived. <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />April 25, 1949 <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE N0, 2331, AS AMENDED, <br />WHICH ORDINANCE IS COMMONLY CALLED THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEAD". <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in.their opinion this ordinance be held over <br />until the next Committee of the Whole meeting on May 9th: <br />STANLEY.C. KORPAL, Chairman <br />Councilman Glass made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Beetle seconded the motion. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried., <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3695 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND PARAGRAPH TWO (2) OF,SECTION 1 <br />OF ORDINANCE NO. 3630, ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, ON MARCH 8, 1948. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Niezgodski made a <br />motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes- 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IV OF CRDINANCS NO. 3146, BY ADDING <br />A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS 41- RELATING TO THE PARKING OF CERTAIN <br />TYPES OF VEHICLES ON THE STREETS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />AND PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF SUCH VEHICLES DURING CERTAIN HOURS <br />AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS. <br />The ordinance was given f irst reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Niezgodski made a <br />motion that the ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole for Public Hearing on May 9th, 1949, <br />Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no" further business, Council adjourned at 8:55 P.M? on motion of Councilman Glass, seconded by <br />Councilman Tellson.
