534 <br />REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 27TH, 1948 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the <br />Council Chamber, December 27th, 1948, at 8:10 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Tellson. <br />President Niezgodski presided, The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived. <br />PET._ _ IT ION <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your petitioner respectfully shows to your Board that the following described real estate, to -wit: <br />Lots 632 and 633 in Summit Place Third Addition to the City, of South Bend <br />has heretofore been classified and zoned as "C" Commercial and "D" Height and Area District. <br />Your petitioner respectfully requests that the said zoning be changed to Light Industrial and "F" Height and <br />Area. <br />That said real estate is numbered 2517 and 2521,West Western Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, and lies just west <br />of the Fruehauf Trailer Corporation property, which is classified as "Heavy Industrial`. <br />Your petitioner is the owner in fee of said above described real estate. <br />EDWARD OLCZAK <br />FE TIT I NER <br />STATE DF INDIANA ) SS: <br />ST. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY <br />Members of the Common Council <br />City Hall December 15, 1948 <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />Attached hereto please find copies of reports submitted by Mr. Qualls, Electrical Superintendent, on petitions <br />for street lights at Parallel and Grant Streets_, Brookfield Street at the Railroad and Grant Street at the <br />'Railroad, Chapin and$herrill Streets, Parry Street and North Side Boulevard, Delaware and Carlisle Streets <br />and Thirty -sixth Street and North Side Boulevard, The Board, upon Mr. Qlxalls recommendation, ordered the <br />above lights installed. <br />Mr. Qualls also informed the Board that street lights ordered in at Vine Street and Ironwood 'Drive,,Colle ge <br />and F1a►ssnacht.,.Streets, Werwinski and Johnson Streets, Falcon and Huron Streets and Napoleon and Eddy Streets <br />had all been installed and were now in service. <br />Very truly yours, <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC 'WORKS AND SAFETY <br />C� J. Motion <br />carried. <br />ORDINANCE N0, 3682 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE OFFICIAL BOND OF NICHOLAS A. <br />MUSZER, AS TREASURER FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />AND AS BARRETT LAW FUND CUSTODIAN, BY THE CAPITOL INI)MTITY <br />INSURANCE COMPANY, OF INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA, AS SURETY. <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Muszynski made a <br />motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Kemper seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote <br />of 7 ayes - 0 nays. <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes - 0 nays. <br />There being no further business before the Council, Councilman Muszynski made a motion to adjourn, which was <br />seconded by Councilman Erler.
