<br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the-City of South-Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the
<br />Council Chambers, City Hall, _L'ecember 8th, 1947, at 7;40 P.M., Frith all members present except Councilman,
<br />Richardson. President Brannan `presided. The reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting was waived.
<br />REPORT OF ORDINANCE CO1a:IITTEE
<br />A report from the Ordinance Committee, concerning an Ordinance proposing to amend the Zoning Ordinance by
<br />limiting the height of tanks to one hundred seventy -five feet, vias read.
<br />Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the report by the Ordinance Committee be accepted as read.
<br />Councilman "McCarthy, seconded the motion. Motion carried.

<br />Attached hereto are copies of reports rendered to the Board of Public 0nrorks and Safety by Mr. William Qualls.
<br />In all instances where Mr. Qualls recommended the installation of street lights the Board has ordered the lights
<br />installed. lVe believe these reports are self explanatory.
<br />Weral.so wish to advise that street lights ordered in at Orchard and Monson Streets; Evling Avenue and Chapin Stre
<br />Crumstowfi Avenue and Bendix Drive; Bonds Avenue and Bendix Drive; Prast Avenue and Bendix Drive; and the lights
<br />which were , turned off during the war in Twyckenh.am Addition are all installed and are noii in service.

<br />Petition for a change of zoning classification of Lot. #25 in Leeper's 2nd Addition, was considered by the City
<br />Plan Commission at their regular meeting: November 6th.
<br />The City Plan Commission recommends this change.

<br />referred to the Committee of the 'Whole for Public Hearing on December 22nd, 1947, at 7:30 P.M.
