Be it remembered-that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in Regular Session in the <br />Council Chambers; City Hall, April 28th, 1947, at 7 :30 P.M., with all members present . President Brannan <br />presided. The reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting was waived. <br />PETITION <br />We, the undersigned property owners, petition your honorable body to improve Edison do Ford Street by <br />construction of a street light. <br />(18 Signers) <br />Councilman McCarthy made a motion that the petition be referred to the Board of Public Works and Safety. <br />Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3597 <br />AN ORDINANCE ORDERING AND PROVIDING FOR 1HE SALE OF THE <br />FOLLOWING DESCRIBED REAL ESTATE IN ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA, <br />TO -WIT: LOTS NUMBERED 130, 131, 135, 136, 137 and 138 IN WENGER <br />AND KREIGHBAUM'S SECOND ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />WHICH SAID REAL'ESTATE IS OWNED BY SAID CITY FOR PAX PURPOSES. <br />The Ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Bishop made a motion for suspension of <br />rules. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried by -a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE - 3598 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, <br />TO LEASE CERTAIN REAL ESTATE PROPERTY TO THE UNITED STATES <br />OF AMERICA. (Lot 20 August Beyer's 1st Addn) (Naval Reserve Armory) <br />The Ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman McCarthy made a motion for suspension of rules. <br />Councilman Richardson seconded the motion.
