<br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the-City of South Bend, Indiana,-met in Special Session,
<br />in the Council Chambers, City Hall, on Thursday, March 20th, 1947, at 7 P.M., with all members
<br />present except Councilmen McCarthy and Mirocha., President Brannan presided.
<br />SPECIAL CALL
<br />TO THE CLERK, PRESIDENT AND
<br />MEMBERS OF THE COMMON COUNCIL,
<br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
<br />Gentlemen:
<br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
<br />March 19th, 1947.
<br />You are hereby notified that under and'by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City
<br />of South Bend, in the State of Indiana, a Special Meeting bf the-Common Council of said City is
<br />hereby called to meet at the hour of 7 P.M., on Starch 20th, 1947, in the Council Chambers for the
<br />purpose of acting upon an Ordinance fixing the salaries of certain City Officials and Employees of the
<br />City of South Bend, Indiana, effective January 1, 1948 and repealing all ordinances and parts of
<br />ordinances in conflict therewith.
<br />The City Clerk is hereby directed to forthwith serve a copy of this notice on each and every member
<br />or the Common Council and make due return of such service of said special meeting.

<br />ORDINANCE
<br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS
<br />AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, EFFECTIVE
<br />JANUARY 1, 1948, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF
<br />ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT TEIEREWI TH.
<br />The Ordinance was given first and second reading,. Councilman Heideman made a motion to refer the
<br />Ordinance to the Committee of the Vhole for Public Hearing on the 31st day of March, 1947.
<br />Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried.
<br />Councilman Richardson made a motion that the next Regular Meeting of the Common Council be held
<br />on March 31st, 1947, at 7 :30 P.M., instead of March 24th,..1947, at 7 :30 P.M. Councilman Korpal
<br />seconded the motion. Motion carried.
<br />There being no further business, Council adjourned at 7 :10 P.M.
