NG <br />10th. 1947 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session <br />in the Council Chambers, City Hall, February 10th, 1947, at 7:45 P.M., with all members present except <br />Councilman Mirocha, Brannan and Richardson. Councilman Hull, Vice - President of the Council, presided <br />in the absence of the President. The reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting; was waived. <br />PETITION <br />We, the undersigned property o1rners request that a street light be installed at the intersection of East <br />Victoria Street and South St. Joseph St. <br />(26 Signers) <br />Councilman Heideman made a motion that the petition be referred to the Board of Works and Safety, Councilman <br />Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />RETORT OF COMUITTEE OF THE 1m,11OLE <br />February 10th, 1947, <br />To The Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee of the Tftole to whom was referred "An Ordinance requiring the New York Central Railroad <br />Company and the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company to install and maintain the latest improved automatic <br />Flashlight Signals and Automatic Short :arms Gates at the Arnold Street crossing over the tracks and right - <br />of -way of the Illinois Division of the New York Central Railroad Company and the right -of -way and tracks of the <br />Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company in the City of South "end, Indiana "'. <br />Re spectfully'report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this Ordinance be reported <br />favorable to the Council. <br />Stanley C. Korpal, Chairman <br />Councilman Niesgodski made a motion that the report be accepted. <br />Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE 7rdOLE <br />To The Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />Councilman McCarthy seconded the motion. <br />February 10th, 1943. <br />Your Committee of the 19,nole to whom was referred "An Ordinance Transferring monies from the General Fund of <br />the City of South Bend and appropriating said sums for the uses and purposes of the following Budgetary items, <br />to -wit: To Police Department - P726 Other Equipment, $5,000.00; to Fire Department - Q726 Other Equipment, <br />$1200.00; declaring an emergency:' <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this Ordinance be reported <br />favorable to the Council. <br />Stanley C. Councilman Niesgodski seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE NHOLE <br />To The Common °Council of the City of South tend: <br />February 10th, 1947. <br />Your Committee of the 'thole to whom was referred "An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2331 (As Amended) <br />commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South °end, Indiana (Prairie Avenue between Nash & Jackson). <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this Ordinance be reported to <br />the Council as favorable. <br />Stanley C. Motion carr <br />REPORT OF THL: CITY PLAN COMA IISSION <br />To The Common Council of the City of South "end, Indiana. February 7, 1947. <br />Gentlemen: <br />Petetion for change of zoning classification of Lots 6 and 7 in Hollowell and Smiths' Sub. from commerical to <br />Light Industrial District was considered by the City Plan Commission at their regular meeting February 6th. <br />This change is not recommended. These lots are at the N.7% Corner of Linden Ave.and Huey St., <br />D. Moomaw, Secretary <br />Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Bishop seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />
