Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session
<br />in the Council Chambers, City Hall, January 13th, 1947, at 7:40 P.M., with all members present except
<br />Councilman Hull. President Brannan presided. The reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting was waived.
<br />COMMUNICATION
<br />A communication was-read from J. P. Scofield, Division Engineer of the New York Central Systems, dated
<br />December 28th, 1946, with regard to the repairs made to various street crossings in the City of South Bend,
<br />during the summer and fall of 1946.
<br />Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the communication be placed on file. Councilman Bishop seconded
<br />the motion. Motion carried.

<br />be performed by such County Treasurer.
<br />THEREFOR,', the condition of the above obligation is to the effect following, to -wit: That the said 011ie Fries
<br />duly, honestly and faithfully discharge and perform all and singular,his duties to the above named City of
<br />South Bend, during his continuance in office in all things agreeable to law.
<br />PROVIDED, That the Common Council be authorized to change, modify, or repeal any Yaws, Ordinances and By -Laws
<br />in'foree at the time of executing such Bond, and to enact any and all Laws, Ordinances and By -Laws, during the
<br />existence of such Bond, at the pleasure of the Common Council, without in any:.wgy or manner releasing such
<br />Officer and his sureites on such Bond, Such Officer and his sureties shall, in all things, be governed by such
<br />Laws, "rdinances, and By -Laws; and such Bond shall be equally binding upon such Officer and his sureties as if
<br />such Laws, Ordinances and By -Laws, had been in force at the time -of executing and inserted in such Bond. Then a
<br />in that case, said obligation shall cease and be void; otherwise, to be and remain in full force and virtue of L

<br />Councilman Heideman made a motion that the above Bond in the sum of $75,000.00 be approved. Councilman
<br />Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried.

<br />To The Common Council of the City of South Bend: January 13, 1947.
<br />Your Committee of The'Vhole, to -whom was referred and Ordinance Regulating the use by Vehicles of Property
<br />owned by the City of South Bend, Indiana: Providing rules and regulations covering such use; providing penalties.
<br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this Ordinance be reported to
<br />the Council-as afvorable.
<br />Councilman Richardson made a motion that the report be accepted.
<br />Motion carried.

<br />January 10, 1947.
<br />Gentlemen:
<br />Petition for change of zoning classification of property on the Northwesterly side of Prairie Ave., between
<br />Nash Street and Jackson St., except Lot #1, Walnut 4th Add., from "C" Use and "D" Height and area District to
<br />"B" use and - "A" Height and Area District was considered by the City Plan Commission at a special meeting,
<br />January 9th, 1947.
<br />This change is recommended as petitioned for.
<br />The attached sheet shows in red shading, the property described in the petition.
