rITAIM <br />- Contd AUGUST 12th, 1946 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3565 <br />AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE APPRAISAL AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE SALE OF C ERTAIN VEHICLES OWNED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND. <br />The Ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Bishop made a motion for suspension <br />of rules. Councilman McCarthy seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - <br />0 -mays. The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. <br />Councilman Brannan stated that as yet no answer has been received from the Board of Works and � <br />Safety, regarding the installation of street lights at 30th & Hastings and 24th & Hastings# <br />Councilman Brannan made a motion that the Board of Public Works & Safety, be requested to take <br />immediate action to have lights installed at 30th & Hastings and 24th & Hastings; that he had <br />been told that there is a shortage of money, in fact he got word from the Mayor,that he contemplated <br />increasing the appropriation for street lights in the 1947 Budget; that if there is no money available <br />for this purpose that money be appropriated to order to have these lights installed. Councilman Bishop <br />seconded the motion.
