ORDI N?ddCE <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDIN,.A110E NO. 2331 <br />(730 and 732 W. Indiana Avenue) <br />24th. 1946 <br />The Ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Bishop made a motion that the <br />Ordinance be referred to the City Plan Commission. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Heideman, informed the Council that he has been receiving numerous complaints regarding <br />iron stumps on Miami Street, from the old sawed off trolley poles, which project above the ground <br />in various heights which are very dangerous. Councilman Richardson made a motion that the matter <br />6oncerning the stumps =on Miami Street as well as the stumps on all other streets throughout the <br />City where the street cars formerly ran, be referred to the Board of Public Works and Safety, and <br />that a report as to the action taken be given to the Council at the next meeting. Councilman <br />Mirocha: seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />A group representing property owners in Bellevue Gardens appeared before the Council and stated <br />that two streets of the four they had complained about needing repairs at the June 10th, meeting had <br />been repaired, however, Garden Lane was still-in need of fixing. A lengthy discussion was held <br />as to what procedure would be necessary in order to properly repair this street. The City Attorney <br />informed these men that this matter should have been taken up with the Board of Public Works and <br />Safety; to assure .prompt action. <br />Councilman Mirocha made a motion that the Railroad Companies, including the South Shore, should be <br />notified by letter to repair their grade crossings throughout the City. Councilman Bishop seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business, Council adjourned at 9 :20 P.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />W, / - <br />437 <br />
