425 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, inet in regular session in the Council Chambers, City Hall, on Monday, April 29th, 1946, at 7 :40 P.M., with all members present except Councilman Hull. The reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting was waived. President Korpal presided. PETITION: April 10th, 1946. We, the undersigned do hereby request the installation of one street light at the intersection of North Side Blvd and Thirty- fourth Street. (12 Signers) Councilman Bishop made a motion that the petition be referred to the Board of Public Works and Safety. Councilman Heideman seconded the motion. Motion carried. PETITION: To the Honorable Board of'Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Gentlemen: We, the undersigned property owners, petition your honorable body to install a fire alarm box and a street light in the vicinity of Huey and Linden Streets. There is no alarm box for many blocks and the Huey - Linden intersection is dangerously dark. (16 Signers) Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the petition be referred to the Board of Public Works and Safety. Councilman Bishop seconded the motion. Motion carried. PETITION: South Bend, Indiana. To the Honorable Board of Public Works and Safety April 24, 1946. of the City of South fiend, Indiana. Gentlemen: We, the undersigned property owners, petition your honorable body to improve North Brookfield Street, by the construction of a street-light at the corner of Orange and Brookfield Streets. (24 signers) Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the petition be referred to the Board of Public Works and Safety. Councilman Bishop seconded the motion. Motion carried. b PETITION: South Bend, Indiana. March 15, 1946. To the Honorable Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Gentlemen: We, the undersigned property owners, petition your honorable body to install a street light at Calhoun and North Kaley Streets. (15 Signers) Councilman Neizgodski made a motion that the petition be referred to the Board of Public Works and Safety. Councilman Bishop seconded the motion. Motion carried. PETITION: Clerk of the Common Council, City of South Bend, South Bend, Indiana. Gentlemen: South Bend, Indiana. April 23, 1946. I wish to request that Ordinance No. 2331, which is known as the "Zoning Ordinance of the City of'South °end ", be amended by changing the zoning classification of the following lots in the City of South -6end, described as follows, to -wit: Lots number (17) seventeen, that is 26 ft. east side- number (18) Eighteen and number (19) Nineteen as shown on the recorded plat-of Studebakers Leeper Avenue Addition to the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana, from "A" Residential District to "B" Residential District, in order that I might construct a 4 family apartment building.
