<br />AR MEETING
<br />DECEMBER 10th.1945.
<br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular
<br />session in the Council Chambers, City Hall, on Monday, December 10th, 1945, at 8 P.M., with all
<br />members present except Councilman Mi.rocha. Councilman George Hull, Vice- President presided in the
<br />absence of President ,1irocha. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived.
<br />COT &ZUNI CATIONS:
<br />A letter from the Dairy Division of the South Bend Retail Credit Bureau, was read. A motion
<br />was made by Councilman Bishop that the communcation be placed on file. Councilman Neizgodski
<br />seconded the motion. Motion carried.

<br />A letter from the Board of Public "Norks and Safety, in regard to a petition with four hundred
<br />and fifty -six (456) signatures that was presented to the Board of Public Works and Safety, at`their
<br />regular meeting on Monday, December 10th,, 1945, pertaining to bus service on the Fellows Street
<br />bus route in South Bend. A motion was made by Councilman Bishop that the communcation be placed
<br />on file. Councilman Neizgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried .
<br />PETITION: REMONSTRANCE::
<br />TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THL
<br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA.
<br />Vve, the-undersigned residents, householders and freeholders in the immediate vicinity of the
<br />following described real estate in the City of south tend, County of St. Joseph, State of Indiana,
<br />"Beginning at a point that is 480 feet East of the 1`cest boundary line of Section No. 2,
<br />Township 37 North, Range No. 2 East and 400 feet South of the South line of Elwood Avenue;
<br />thence east on a line parallel with the South line of said Elwood Avenue in a distance of
<br />495.feet; thence south on a line parallel with the 1"'est boundary line of said Section No. 2,
<br />Township 37 North, Range No. 2 East, a distance of 238.4 feet; thence West on a line parallel

<br />notion was made by Councilman Heideman, seconded by Councilman Bishop, that the petition be referred
<br />to the City Plan Commission. Motion carried.
<br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE'MiOLE
<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend.:
<br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2331,
<br />commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, Lot +12 and that part of Lot #13, Miami heights Addition ".
<br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and in their opinion this ordinance
<br />be reported favorably. 4 ayes (McCarthy, Brannap,Korp al and Niezgodski) 1 absent (Mirocha)
<br />3 nays (Heideman, Bishop and Hull).
<br />Councilman McCarthy, made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Niezgodski "seconded
<br />the motion.. Motion carried.

<br />Your Committee of the thole to whom was referred "An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3146
<br />and entitled "An Ordinance regulating traffic upon the public streets of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana, and repealing all other ordinances and Sections of ordinances in conflict therewith ".(one way tr
<br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and in their opinion this ordinance
<br />be reported to the Grievance Committee for further study.
<br />Councilman Brannan made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the
<br />motion, i,iotion carried.
<br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE 11ilIOLE
<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Lend:
<br />Your Committee of the IAVhole to whom was referred "An Ordinance transferring $13,,545.14 from the
<br />General Fund of the City of South trend, Indiana, and appropriating said amount for the uses and
<br />purposes of Budgetary Account #1261 - Contractual Services - in the Budget of the City of South
<br />Bend, for the calendar year 1946; Declaring an emergency ".
<br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and in their opinion this ordinance
<br />be reported favorably.
<br />Councilman Bishop, made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Heideman seconded the
<br />motion. Motion carried.
