Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South fend, Indiana, met in regular session in the <br />Council Chambers, City hall, on Yonday September 10th, 1945, at 7 :35 P.M., with all members Present except <br />Councilman, Richardson. President Mirocha presided. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting <br />was waived. <br />PETI TION <br />TO THE HONORABLE BOARD OF PUBLIC f:ORKS AND SAFETY, AND <br />TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDI.0A. <br />Gentlemen: <br />nbs the undersigned property owners who have homes on and along South Olive Street in the City of South lend, <br />Indiana, and more specifically being property owners along the above mentioned street south of its <br />intersection with .western Avenue, petition the Board of Public Yorks and the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, to have Olive Street from a point of its intersection with 4stern Avenue south to the <br />Grand Runk Railroad Crossing, rezon:;d by proper ordinance and be made a boulevard. <br />(49 Signers) <br />Councilman Niezgodski, made a. motion that the petition be referred to the Board of Public b rks and Safety. <br />Councilman Hull, seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br />To the Common Council - City of South Bend, Ind. <br />Gentlemen: <br />Petition of lirs. H. L. Seif, et. al. for change of Zoning Classification of property on South side of <br />Lincolnway 74st between Lawndale and Sancome Ave., from "B" residence and "A" height and area districts <br />to C" Commercial and "D" height and area districts was acted upon by the City Plan Commission at their <br />regular meeting Sept. 6th. <br />This change is recommended. <br />Yours truly, <br />D. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3535. <br />AND ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY. <br />The Ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Niezgodski made a motion for the suspension <br />of rules. Councilman Bishop seconded the motion. Lotion carried by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays - <br />1 absent (Richardson).
