ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN <br />DEPARTMENTAL AND CITY SERVICES OPERATIONS IN 2013 OF $6,074,038 <br />FROM EMS CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND ( #288). <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />The Common Council passed the City's 2013 operating and capital budgets in <br />2012 (Ordinance #10197 -12, passed October 29, 2012) which included expenditures for <br />various City operations. It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds of <br />$6,074,038 from the EMS Capital Improvement Fund ( #288) for the construction of a <br />Fire Department training tower, fire station and the purchase of other equipment. The <br />expenditures will be paid for by a combination of cash reserves in the fund and a <br />reimbursement from bond proceeds. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br />Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2013 and <br />set apart within the following designated funds for expenditures as follows: <br />Fund Amount <br />EMS Capital Improvement Fund ( #288) $6,074,038 <br />TOTAL 6 074 038 <br />Section II.
