377 9. 1945 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in a recessed session on Tuesday, January 9, 1945 in the Council Chambers, City Hall, at 7 :45 P.M. with all members present except Councilman Brann President Mirocha presided. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was deferred. Acknowledgment was made cf a "thank .you" card from the Carl Castleman family. PIPORT OF THE CO?.fIVITTEE OF THE s,'IIOLE 1/9/45 To the Common 'Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2331 (Lots 4,5 & 6 Seeberger's Mich. St. Addition) Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance shall be reported to the Council as favorable. V,5A. J. RICHARDSON, Chairman Councilman Richardson made a motion to accept the report. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried REPORT OF THE COP2JITTEE OF THE VHiOLE 1/9/45 To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An ordinance requiring the removal of snow, ice, mud, dirt and filth from sidewalks within the City of South Bend, Indiana and providing penalties for violation thereof. Respectfully'report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance shall be tabled. AIM. Gentlemen: Petition and Ordinance for change of zoning classification of lots Y and Z in Elder Place Addition from B residence and A height and area districts to C, commercial and E. height and area district was considered by the City Plan Commission at their regular meeting Jan. 4th and this change is approved and recommended. The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays - l absent (Brannan).
