360 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council Chambers, City Hall, On Monday, June 12, 1944, at 7:30 P.M. with all members present. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING THE AMOUNT OF THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($3,550.00) FROM THE GENERAL RJNDOF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO BUDGETARY ACCOUNT NO. P721--MOTOR EQUIPMENT OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND: APPROPRIATING THE SAID FUND FOR THE USES OF SAID ACCOUNT: DECLARING AN WERGENCY. The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Richardson made a motion that the ordinance be set for public hearing at the next meeting of the Council on June 26. Councilman Mirocha seconded the motion. Motion carri ORDINANCE NO. 3486 AN ORDINANCE ALTTTORIZING THE PROPER OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO MAKE AND EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF REMOVING A CLOUD FROM THE T ITLE THEREOF. The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman McCarthy made a motion for the suspension of rules. Councilman.Bishop seconded.the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes- 0 nays. The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. A discussion was had regarding an increase in the present bus license fee. Councilman Richardson made a motion that the legal department of the City of South Bend investigate the facts regarding the bus situation in the City of South Bend and report back to the City Council at the next regular meeting.
