329 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session in the Council <br />Chambers, City Hall, Monday, December 28, 1942, at 7:30 P.M. with all members present except Councilman Brannan. <br />President Pulaski presided. <br />REPORT OF THE C(XVI!ITTEE OF THE AIHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: <br />12/28/42 <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred a petition for an ordinance to prohibit parking in certain sections <br />of the city during working hours - <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this petition shall be placed on <br />file. <br />LEO H. JORDAN, Chairman <br />Councilman McCarthy made a motion to accept the.report. Councilman Brannan seconded the ;notion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE COXITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />ITo the Cori-non Council of the City of South Bend: . <br />12/28/42 <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "Aft ordinance to regulate and license the sale, and distribution of <br />foods;to .regulate the health of those engaged therein; the issuance of permits ther -efore; defining certain terms; <br />and providing penalties for violations thereof; <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance shall be tabled in- <br />definitely. <br />LEO. M. JORDAN, Chairman <br />Councilman Brannan made a motion to accept the report. Councilman McCarthy seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF .THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br />To the Common Council of the' City of South Bend: <br />Your Committee of the 'Whole to whom was referred a petition to remove certain "No Parking." restrictions, etc, in the <br />vicinity of 23rd Street and Mishawaka Avenue - <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this petition shall be held over <br />until next year. <br />LEO iii. JORDAN, Chairman <br />Councilman Brannan made a motion to accept the report. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman McCarthy made a ?notion that the Council express by rising vote its appreciation to Councilmen Pulaski and <br />Jordan for their fine cooperation while members of the council.
