<br />ambers, City Mall, Monday, November 14, 1942, with all members present except Councilman Pulaski. Vice - President
<br />11 presided. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived.
<br />REPORT OF THE CU- MITTEE OF THE WHOLE
<br />To the Comaron Council of the City of South Bend:

<br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An ordinance reducing item Q17 of the budget of the City'of South
<br />Bend, Indiana, for the year 1943 be the amount of $4500.00, transferring the amount of $4500.00 from the general fu:
<br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana, to the budgetary item Z17 of said city for the year 1942 and appropriating said
<br />amount for thepu rchase of fire hose; approving the purchase of 3800 feet of fire hose from the Bi- Lateral Fire Hose
<br />Company; declaring an emergency."
<br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter.and that in their opinion this ordinance shall be reported to
<br />the Council favorably.

<br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CERTAIN PAYMENTS TO BE MADE TO CITY EMPLOYEES
<br />, the City of South .Bend is approaching the close of its fiscal year; And,
<br />WHEREAS, the office of the City Controller will be required to make numerous payments and close its numerous and c
<br />plicated accounts; and
<br />EREAS, it is desirable that the work of said office be simplified when possible,
<br />, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana,
<br />SECTION 1. That all employees of the city shall be paid their salaries in full for the month of December on the 1
<br />day of said month.
<br />CTION II. The Controller of the City of South Bend, is hereby authorized to make said salary payments upon said
<br />te.
<br />ECTION III. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common Council and
<br />is approval by the Mayor.
