325 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend met in regular session in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Monday, October 26, 1942, at 7 :40 P.M. with all members present except Councilman Hull. President Pulaski presided. The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived. PETITION September 28, 1942 To the Common Council of the City of South Bend, assembled: We the undersigned business men in the 2200 block, Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend being seriously affected by the NO PARKING restrictions imposed upon us, recommend and petition that these restrictions be removed in favor of a one hour parking zone and that the cross walks be removed from 23rd street ending on the North side of Mishawaka Avenue to the bus stop at the corner of 23rd street ending on the South side of Mishawaka Avenue. (9 Signers) REPORT OF STREETS & ALLEYS CCWAITTEE(on bottom of above petition) We, the Streets &_Alleys Committee, favor the above petition and recommend action by the Boardof Works & Safety in accordance. JOSEPH COUNTY) IN THE MATTER OF THE APPOINTMENT OF APPRAISERS IN THE ST-. JOSEPH CIRCUIT COURP MAY TERM101942 In pursuance of the request of the Common Council of the City of South Bend of the State of Indiana on the 14th day of September, 1942, I hereby appoint Fred J. Helmen, Jr., Floyd R. Searer, and Albert McGann to appraise all of the right, title and interest of said City of South Bend in and to certain improvement bonds and coupons and assessments in Improvement Roll No. 1816, Lincoln Way East widening and sheet asphalt pavement, which said bonds and coupons were issued and said assessments were levied pursuant to the provisions'of Resolution No. 1330 of the Board of Publi Works of the City_of South B end on the 2nd day of September, 1925, and make return thereof to the Mayor of said City of South Bend, Indiana.
