President Pulaski presided. <br />SPECIAL CALL City of South Bend, Indiana <br />July 20, 1942 <br />Notice of the Holding of a Special Meeting of the South Bend City Common Council <br />TO: The Members of the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />Notice is hereby given that a special meeting of the South Bend City Common Council is hereby called to meet in the <br />Council Chambers of the South Bend City Hall at 7:30 o'clock P.M., Central Standard War Time, on the 2)th day of <br />July, 1942. <br />At said meeting, you will respectfully be asked to consider and pass, if you approve, an ordinance providing for the <br />protection of the City of South Bend, its citizens and property, from any emergency arising from or during the <br />present war and for a period of six months thereafter. <br />A copy of said proposed ordinance is annexed to this notice for your approval. <br />Dated: This 18th day of July, 1942. <br />RETURN OF SERVICE <br />J. Upon the motion to suspend the rules by Councilman Richardson, <br />seconded by Councilman Brannan, carried by ,a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays, the ordinance was given third read <br />Councilman Niezgodski made a motion to adopt the ordinance. This motion was seconded by Councilman Bishop. The <br />ordinance was passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. <br />There being no further business, Council adjourned at 8 :00 o'clock P.M. upon the motion by Councilman Richardson, <br />seconded by Councilman McCarthy. <br />ATTEST: APPROVED: <br />CLERK PRESIDENT <br />
