<br />Your committee of the `'hole to whom was referred "An ordinance for the emergency appropriation of 410,000.00 and
<br />for the transfer thereof from the General Fund of the City of South Bend out of Gasoline Tax Refunds to an
<br />account known as I -i6A, being the "other equipment" account of the Street Department of the City of South Bend,
<br />Indiana."
<br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance as amended shallgo
<br />to the Conueil favorably..

<br />Gentlemen:
<br />Petition of J. J. Kohen for change of zoning classification of property between Ruskin St. and Harriet Place,
<br />immediately east of John Adams Add. from Light Industrial district and E height and area district to B residence
<br />and A height and area district was considered by the L'ity Plan Commission at their meeting July 10th. This change
<br />is recommended by them.

<br />Gentlemen:
<br />The City Plan Commission at their regular meeting on July 10th recommended the change of zoning on N. )Uchigan St.
<br />as petitioned for by Geo. E. Frederick, et al. The owners of property on the balance of the block north to
<br />Bartlett St. brought to this meeting an informal petition asking to be included in this change. !heir petition
<br />is t=sm tted herewith. The City Plan �'ommission took no action on this informal petition- because it did not
<br />come to`them in the regular fashion and because of its proximity to Leeper Park, the matter should be brought to
<br />the attention of the -Park Board.

<br />COMBUSTIBLE OR ODORIFEROUS MATERIALS, ORGANIC MATTER, MATERIALS-WHICH BREED
<br />VERMIN, TIN CANS, GLASS, ASHES OR OTHER THINGS, MATTERS OR OBJECTS WHICH ARE
<br />UNSIGHTLY, UNPLEASANT, UNAESTHETIC OR UNSAFE, WITHIN THE SOUTH BEND CITY LIMITS,
<br />OR NEARER THAN ONE *QUARTER MILE TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS THEREOF; PROVIDING FOR
<br />THE DEPOSITS OF SUCH MATERIALS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS ON LANDS, TO THE OWNERS OR
<br />LESSEES OF WHICH A PERMIT HAS BEEN GRANTED, WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF
<br />PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY; DELAGATING AUTHORITY TO THE BOARD OF PUBLIC 'WORKS AND
