This petition, first referred to the Board of Public Works 'and Safety,
has been brought to the attention of the Board of Water Trustees.
The study of the Street upon which main extension is requested shows that the number of users who .might connect with
the proposed extension, is less than 50% as great as that number required under Order 7453 of the Public Service
Commission of Indiana,`providing for free extension. It is therefore impossible that this extension be made without
a special deposit on the part of the occupants of the houses of the Street.
The estimated cost of the water main extension, under the terms of the petition, will be $1038.11. The maximum
credit which can be given to the six potential users under the rules and regulations of the Water Department is
$300.00.
Any further information concerning the requirements and deposits for main extensions, can be obtained from the Supe
intendent of the Water Works.
Very truly yours,
BOARD OF WATER TRUSTEES
Harry S."Driggs, Chairman
Nathan Levy
Clyde E. Williams.
Councilman Bishop made a motion that the report be placed on file. Councilman Pulaski seconded the motion. Motion
carried.
REPORT OF CITY TRAFFIC ENGINEER
Honorable Common Council of the City of South Bend
South Bend, Indiana
Gentlemen:
Feb. 24 -1941
Re: Appearance of Mr. C.
