ORDINANCE 3347 SEPTEMBER 23. 1940 AN-.'ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF BARRETT LAW BONDS AND COUPONS, AND THE INTEREST OF THE CITY WITH RESPECT THERETO,, ISSUED -BY SAID CITY IN CONNECTION WITH W.ROVEMENT RESOLUTIONS NOS. 1863 AND 1923. This ordinance was given its first reading by title and second reading in full. A motion by Councilman Hull for suspension of rules was made and seconded by Councilman Neizgodski. Roll call 8 ayes- Onayes- Councilman being absent.. The ordinance was then given its third reading and passed by roll call vote 8 ayes -0 nayes. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE TO SUPPLEMENT ORDINANCE NO. 2331, KNOWN AS "THE ZONING ORDINANCE ". 221 This ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Hull made a motion that this ordinance be publish for public hearing set for October 14th 1940. Councilman Bishop senond . Motioncarried. RESOLUTION RESOLUTION OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE.CITY OF SOUTHBEND, INDIANA. Councilman Neizgodski made a motion for the adoption of resolution, seconded by �'ouncilman Bishop. Motion passed by roll call 8ayes-o nayes. NEW BUSINESS A petition.' presented by Alvin Melser of Historical Record Survey Project of W. P. A. requesting the Council to help take care of rental of floor space now being used by this same project in the Odd Fellows Building. The members of the Council felt this petition did not come under their jurisdidtion , so rejected same. There being no further busine -s Councilman Brannon made a motion for adjournment.
