WE <br />SPECIAL MEETING . DECEMBER 4, 1939 <br />TO THE CITY CLERK, PRESIDENT and MEMBERS OF THE <br />Common Council of the City of South Bend, Ind. <br />Gentlemen: - <br />You are hereby notified that under and by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the <br />City _of South Bend, in the State of Indiana, a special meeting of the Common Council of said ci <br />is hereby called to meet immediately following your meeting, as a Committee as a whole, on Mond <br />December 4th, 1939, in the Council Chambers of said city, for the purpose of considering the <br />approval of, and ratification of a contract by the Board of Public Works and Safety, on behalf <br />of said city, with Alex Langel, as Portage Township Trustee. This contract covers the payment <br />$6.75 per man per month employed on city's sponsored W.P.A. projects during the Year 1940. <br />The City Clerk is hereby directed to forthwith serve a copy of this notice on each and every <br />member of the Common Council of said city and make due return of such service at said special <br />meeting. <br />(Signed) J. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the <br />motion. Motion.,_earried by a vote of 9 -ayes, O -nays. The ordinance was given third reading by <br />title. Councilman Niezgodski made a motion for the adoption_ of the ordinance. Councilman <br />Brannon seconded-the motion. The ordinance adopted by a roll call vote of 9- ayes,- O nays. <br />Councilman Brannon made a motion for the adjournment of the special meeting. <br />seconded the motion.
