154 <br />REGULAR MEETING SEPTEMBER 11,1939 <br />Be it remembered the Common Council of the City of South Bend held a regular meeting in the <br />Council Chambers, City Hall, Monday, September 11, 1939, at 7 :38 P.M. Councilman George Hull <br />was absent. President McCarthy presided. The reading of the minutes was suspended. <br />IRTPORT OF THE CITY PLAN OOMMISSION <br />To the Common Council <br />City of South Bend <br />(Gentlemen: <br />Sept. 9, 1939 <br />the City Plan Commission has three petitions for change of zoning classification before it that <br />are not yet acted upon. One is for Lot #41 Kaleys Second Add. Another is for Lots #23, 24, 25 <br />and 26 Leeper's Second Add. The Third is for lots 373, 374 and 375 of the original plat of the <br />City of South Bend. <br />IThe petitioners have asked that action be delayed on the first of these. <br />IThe second and third are still under consideration. <br />Yours truly, <br />D. Anderson <br />City Engineer <br />City Hall <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />IMy dear Mr. Anderson: <br />Iii REPLY PLEASE REFER TO <br />Docket No. Ind.. 1632 <br />Disnosal Plant <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Inasmuch as the Congress has now adjourned without taking any action which would authorize the <br />Public Alorks Administration to make 'further allotments, there is nothing we can do at this time <br />regarding the above referenced application and, therefore, we are returning; it to you and closing <br />our files on the case. <br />The P.W.A. ar)preciates your cooperation in submitting; this application for its consideration in <br />connection with the program heretofore authorized by the Congress, and it is regretted that an <br />allotment could not have been made for the project. <br />Sincerely yours, <br />E. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Brannon requested that a. communication be directed to the Chief of Police tasking that <br />the ordinance prohibiting; the perking of cars on public streets between the hours of two o'clock <br />A.M. and six o'clock A.M. be strictly enforced. The Clerk was so directed. <br />There being no further business, the Council meeting adjourned at -5:00 P. M.
