H Oki SPECIAL CALL MINUTES JULY 5th, 1939 'Be 'it remembered thpt the Common Council met in the special Session in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Tuesday evening, July 5th, at the hour of 7:30 P. M. All members were 11 present except Councilmen Rasmussen. and James. President Hull presided. STATE OF INDIANA ST. JOSEPH COUNTY )SS: CITY OF SOUTH BEND ) To the Members of the Common Council of the City of South Beni Indiana.: CALL FCR SPECIAL MEETTNG OF COMMON COUNCIL You are hereby notified that under and bti virtue of the authority by law vested in me Ps Mayor of the City of South Pend, of the State of Indi-Pna, a special meeting of the Common Council of s?id City is hereby celled to be held a.t the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M., or as soon thereafter as convenient, on Tuesday evening July 5th, 1939, in the Council Chambers in said City, for the purpose of considering the following ordinance, to -wit: "An Ordinance transferring the sum of $2,500.00 from account B 14A under t-he office of Controller to account L 15 under Engineering Department to cover cost of preparing applications for P.W.A. grants and W.P.A. The Ordinance was given its first reading by title, its second reading in full. Councilman Fish moved for suspension of rules, seconded by Councilman Bierwn en. Roll call for suspension of rules ns follows: Hull, Goetz, Bierwagen, Kerner, Fish and Palicki - 6 ^yes. Chambers - 1 nay. Motion lost. Councilman Chembers moved that said ordinance go to the Committee of the Whole end Public hear - ing on July 11th. Motion lost for wart of second. 0ou ncilm.en Goetz moved that said ordinance be referred to the Committee of the Whole and th -et meeting be held at once. Councilman Fish seconded the motion. Motion carried. Chair orders a recess for three minutes. Councilman Goetz called n meeting of the Committee of the Whole. Ordinance No. 3251 was read by the Clerk. Councilman Mull moved that said ordinsnce go to the Council favorable. Councilman Bierwngen seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Hull moved that the Committee of the Whole meeting adjourn. Councilman Fish second- ed the motion. Motion serried. Co,,rdttee of the whole adjourned at 9 :00 P. M. Motion made end carried that Council be called in session immediately for third reading and consideration of Ordinance No. 3251. Council re- convened.
