<br />Be it remembered th?t the Common Council. met in the Special Session in the Cour_cil Chambers
<br />of the City Hall., Tuesday evening, May 31st, 193 , at the hour of 7:40 P. TY. Ail members
<br />were present. President Hull presided.

<br />CALL FOR SPECIAL MEETING

<br />COMMON COUNCIL
<br />You are hereby notified that under and by virtue of the authority by law vested in me as
<br />Mayor of the City 7f South Bend, of the Stpte of Indiana, a' meeting of the Common
<br />Council of said City is hereby called to be held at the hour of 7:30 P. M., or as soon there -
<br />efter as convenient, on Tuesday evening Mey 31st, 1939, in the Council Chambers in said City
<br />for the purpose of considering the following ordinance:
<br />"AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIA.TTNG THE SUM -OF TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($20•,000.00) FROM THE KNDS
<br />TO BE- RrCEIV•ED FROM THE AUDITOR OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY UNDER ORDER OF THE PORTAGE TOWNSHIP
<br />TRUSTEE FOR FUNDS TO BE SUPPLIED TO ASSIST THE MUNICIPAL CITY OF SOUTH BEND IN THE SPON*
<br />SORING OF PROJECTS PURSUANT TO AN AGREES ?ENT FILED WITH THIS BODY ENTERED INTO BY AND
<br />BETWEEN THE -BOARD OF P`-BLIC WORKS AND SAFETY AND THE PORTAGE TOWNSHIP TRUSTEE AND TO BE

<br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
<br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: #3249
<br />Your Committee of the whole to whom sEks referred an ordinance appropriating the sum of twenty
<br />thousand dollars ($20,000.00) from the funds to be received from the auditor of St. Joseph
<br />County under order of the portage township trustee for funds to be supplied to assist the
<br />municipal city of South Bend in the sponso-rin,q of projects pursuent to an agreement filed with
<br />this body entered into by and between the Board of Public ` "Norks and Safety and the Portage
<br />Township Trustee and to be a fund known as the Special W. P. A. Fund.
<br />Respectfully report that they have examined the metter and that in their opinion should be
<br />reported favoreble to the council as amended.
