<br />BE it remembered thet the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the
<br />regulnr session in the Council Chambers of the City Hell, Monday evening; November 5th, 1937,
<br />at the hour of '7:45 P. M. All members were present. President Fish presided. Co-_incilmpn
<br />James moved to dispense with the reeding of the minutes, for the list meetin .-. Councilmen_
<br />Bierwngen seconded the motion. Motion carried.
<br />ORDINAYCE NO. 3236
<br />An Ordinance changing the designation. of certain described property as to use and height
<br />end area district.
<br />The ordinance was given its first reading b; title, its second reading in full. Council-
<br />man Chambers moved to suspend the rules, and that said ordinance go to third reading. Council -
<br />man Hull seconded the motion.
<br />Roll call en motion - Hull, Goetz, Bierwagen, James, Kerner, Fish, Chambers, Rasmussen
<br />end Palicki - .9 ryes. 0 nays. Rules suspended and ordinance goes to third reeding.

<br />by the following vote: Hull, Goetz, Bierwsgen, ja -res, Kerner, Fish, Chambers, Rasmussen and.
<br />Palicki - 9 eyes. 0 nays. Ordinance adopted.

<br />An Ordinance reguelting and li.censing the selling of Food. An Ordinance to regulate,
<br />control end. license the sale, storage,.delivery, and d.istribution.of food, both wholesale and
<br />retruk. within the Cite. of South Bend, and to provide for the inspection of resteurents, lunch
<br />stends, groceries, meet markets, beer taverns, be:keries, cafes, dining rooms, ice cream parlors,
<br />publ'_c or prix €te markets, stalls, shops, stores, storehouses, cold store,.ge plants, or where
<br />fish, oysters, birds, fowl, vegetables, fruits, milk, ices, beversq'es, meet, meet food products,
<br />bike goods,, or any other provision or food intended for consumption by humen beings, is menu -
<br />factured, held, kept, stored or offered for sale, d.ispostion, or other distribution as food for
<br />huni_en beings.
<br />The ordinance rps liven its first reading by title. Councilman Chambers moved to?su bend
<br />the second reeding: Copies will be'given to each councilman Cs soon es possible, this week.
