REGULAR MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />OCTOBER 25th, 1937 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in the <br />regular session in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Monday evening, October 25th, 1937, <br />at the hour of 1:25 P. M. All members were present except Councilman Goetz. President Fish <br />presided. Councilman Chembers moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes, for the <br />lest meeting. Councilman Bierwagen seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />CERTIFICATION OF POSTIFG NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS <br />An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2331, passed by the Council June 25, 1923, and commonly <br />known as the Zoning Ordinance. <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />October 26th, 1937 <br />I, Mary B. Williams, of <br />the National Safety Council of Chicago, as our principal speaker. There will be others on the <br />program' who are- rprominent, in safety work in the State of Indians. We feel you will went to <br />attend this meeting because of your interest in ell safety problems. <br />This meeting is in conjunction with similar meetings to be held by all Elks' lodges in the United <br />States. Boulevard, hereby petition each and every <br />one of you to eliminate this hazard by causing to be erected at this intersection an electric <br />stop rind go signal. <br />(16 signers) <br />Councilmen Kerner moved that said petition be referred to the Traffic Engineer for his consid- <br />eration. Councilman RasLussen seconded the motion.
