�r <br />r' f <br />4-79 <br />REPORT: <br />The Street Commissioners report of the work done by his departments during the month of <br />- April, 1937, • <br />The report was accepted by the Council and ordered to be ple.ced on file. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. A20 <br />An Ordinance amending Section 41 of Ordinance #3146 with reference to the schedule of, <br />parking on the streets of the-City of South Bend to prohibit the parking of cars on the streets <br />of the City of South Bend between one (1:00) and five(5:00) A. M. <br />The Ordinance was given its first reading by title, its second reading in full and on <br />motion of Councilman James was referred to the Committee of the Whole end 61so that a public <br />heating be held May 24th, 1937, and that the Street Commissioner and the head of the Safety <br />Council be present. Councilmen Goetz seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO.- 3210 <br />An Ordinance appropriating the sum of seve, teen hundred fifty dollers ($1750.00) from the <br />Generel Fund of the City of_South Bend to the'Electrical Department, one thousand dollars <br />($1,000.00) of same being for insta1lat9on of new traffic lights on North Mtchigan At Angella <br />and North Shore Drive, and seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) being for salaries for vaca- <br />tions of electrical employees. <br />The Ordinance *ns given its first reading by title, its second reading-in full and on <br />motion of Councilmen Chambers was referred to the Committee of the Whole and also that a public <br />hearing by held. May 24th, 1937. Councilman Kerner seconded the-motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman James moved that the City Attorney-draw up an ordinance transferring the balance <br />in the Aviation Fund to the General Fund. Councilman Bierwagen seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />Councilman Kerner moved that the communication received from Ernest J. Bohn, Chairman of the <br />Housing Committee be referred_ to the Mayor. Councilman Goetz moved that said communication <br />be investigated by the Mayor and the Board of P,ubl is Works and that they report back to the <br />Council. Councilman James seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />There being no further business, Councilman Rasmussen moved to adjourn. Councilmen James <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. Council adjourned at 8 :20 P.
